Since you will probably be playing without much pressure in this form of the game, it can also help you come up with different strategies, new plays and better team playing. It is also a great way of staying in shape in your off season without forcing yourself into the gym. This way your fitness levels will be the same or improved when you get back on the ice. Also, you have to admit, you will develop better skills by doing this than sitting at home playing Ice Hockey on the X-Box or watching movies all day lone. So, Yes, Inline Hockey can do more good than harm to your Ice Hockey game.
