White Baseball Pants were Created by the Devil

I will never, ever understand why a baseball team would wear white baseball pants. My son is in his fourth year of playing ball for his high school team. They insist on wearing white pants for their games. I have never had a pair of his pants stay white longer than three or four games. I have tried everything, including bleach and they just will not stay white.  The girls softball coach is smarter than the boys coach; she has the girls in black pants.

I think the black pants look great with the gold baseball jerseys. By the end of the season the guys are wearing dingy pants with gold shirts. It is not a pretty sight.  This year they are going to have gold jersey for away games and white jersey for home games. I like the idea, but must they wear the white pants all the time? At least they should have grey pants or maybe even gold pants to wear with the white tops. It would save some on the white ones. They ruin their pants much more than their shirts, yet only get one pair of pants for the whole season.

Maybe my youngest will play basketball instead of an outdoor sport. Basketball uniforms do not get nearly as dirty as the outdoor sport uniforms. Unfortunately, none of my children have ever been interested in basketball. I don’t think I personally know anyone that has kids on the team. I am doomed to filthy uniforms for the next eight years.
