How NHL season is shaping up so far?

The National Hockey League 2013 -2014 season is well underway and as of October 15, 2013, after 15 days of play the leaderboard looks as follows: On the Eastern Conference Atlantic Division after seven games Toronto leads with a six wins and one loss with a three game winning streak as of October 15, 2013. On the Metropolitan Division, after everyone completed six games, Pittsburg leads with five wins and one loss, and has a two game winning streak. On the Western Conference Central Division, after everyone completed six games Colorado leads with a six game winning streak while on the Pacific Division San Jose leads with a similar six game winning streak.

At the end of the month each team need to review where they stand and what direction they want to take their game. Many believe that the game is much faster in October and points are easier to get during October and November compared to final months of the season. This is because teams get much more focused towards the end, pressure becomes more prevalent and points are harder to come. However, 16 out of 48 teams seem to capitalize on early goal scores.
